The author of this recipe suggests that these waffles are best served during an informal brunch. I can't say that I disagree but I would also think that they could be served anytime. They sound delicious. Sliced almonds mixed right into the waffle batter is a wonderful concept and a peach sauce topping also sounds quite nice.
